Construction Sector

Naturally-grinding Calcite is brought into use in the plaster sector. Calcite can be a filling material inside the plaster. Its benefits include lower cost, opportunity to avoid early freezing and it smoothness, and it makes process a lot easier.
Calcium carbonate is the basic raw material of sealer and filler putties. As a filling material, it has gained a traditional characteristic due to its low cost. Furthermore, as the demand for sealers and fillers increases, their functional characteristics gain more importance. Mechanic characteristics like hanging resistance and rheological properties can be developed with mineral filling materials.
It is the main source of Calcium Oxide (CaO) which is the irreplaceable material of ceramic production. Calcium Carbonate develops gelignite and anorthite minerals which provide mechanical resistance for the material. Besides it acts as a melting agent at high temperatures in boilers (1050 oC) and increases mechanical and chemical resistance of glass body. It decreases shrinkage due to firing.
They are used as high quality fillers in concrete products. CCF gives extra fast hardening by accelerating hydration in cement matrix.
Since Calcium contains very low iron oxide, in glass production it stabilizes the colour of the glass. It is used for raw materials in glass sector. Calcite ensures better characteristics for glass; resistance against chemical influences, hardness, cheaper workmanship, and increases transparency. Resistance of mixtures: it ensures cohesion with bitumen and increases the possibility of processing. When Calcium Carbonate is applied with materials that are rough cast, putty and mixed with paints, the process becomes much easier for the industry.
